Internship is to understand business processes across all functions viz. Marketing, Finance, HR, IT and Manufacturing. Any Executive, to be successful in his/her specialized roles, has to be a businessperson first and then a functional expert. Corporates now look for people who are versatile and multi skilled. Without stipend one should not take up internship. Surveys and sectorial studies can also be done under the supervision of SCMLD faculty I/L of internship. initiative for internship has to be from students side. SCMLD placement cell will support them. This is to inculcate an attitude of “go and get what you want” rather than waiting with expectations that someone will serve one with everything one desires.
