To be different, one must be one’s self and should not be in the herd or crowd. Risk taking, creativity, innovation, passion, persistence and plunging in action are required to succeed as an entrepreneur or entrepreneurial executive. Fear of failure is the strongest barrier to Entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurs and enterprise executives are required to have tolerance for ambiguity, inter-cultural sensitivity and the ability and skills to manage paradoxes and uncertainties being calm, centred and unwavering. SCMLD processes will have plenty of these for you to experience and emerge. *12 noon to 4:45 pm for five days a week and the action learning day and the students day can be utilised for other learning activities with the permission of the institute. However, institute will sanction only if it is sure that such learning activities are either leading to a formal qualification or it is better than the on-campus learning activities. These are not free time periods. These are to develop healthy habits and for conscious living as against being mechanical and blind in living life. Flexibility is for the self disciplined and responsible student. Students can chose the activities from amongst those stated in this prospectus and be in learning process on campus / off campus. It has to be approved by the institute and students should keep their commitments.
Time is like sunshine which is available to everyone equally. Utilising it productively means cultivating good and healthy habits and delivering it by positive behaviours. SCMLD does not teach time management. But the schedule is such that every one has to manage to be on time and it becomes a habit.
Mobile phones and laptops have put the brain to disuse. They are aids, not substitutes for thinking, learning, assimilation or common sense. These machines are taking away the memory, thinking and brain power of today’s youth. |
While western world is exhorting its youth to study to counter the Indian brain power, the Indian youth are following the western styles and fads but not its work culture, system concepts, hygiene, sanitation or civic sense. Hence, restrictions on the use of these gadgets.
