Admission to APEL 2012-13 (PGPEL Students)

Being successful in PGPEL (2011-12), interested students can seek admission to Advanced Programme in Executive Leadership (APEL 2012-13) without any entrance test if PGPEL CGPA is 3.5 or above. If not, taking the entrance test is a must. Both categories of students have to apply for APEL during March 2012 for APEL 2012-13. Entrance consists of fundamentals of the specializations viz Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Operations as per the choice of the student, and tests of Analytical ability, Case Study Analysis, Current Affairs, Research Methodology, English Grammar and Psychometric tests. Admission to APEL is only for those who score 65% and above in this entrance test or those who have already secured 3.5 CGPA (Comprehensive) inclusive of ECGPA etc. in PGPEL and thus exempted from entrance test. However, those who have CGPA less than 3.5 in PGPEL or less than 65% in entrance can submit a thesis evidencing 300 hours of intense secondary research on a subject of their choice and score 65% or attend revision classes at SCMLD in the evening and pass those subjects (of entrance tests) with 65%. Both this will have a fee of Rs. 10,000 each. It is a bridge programme approach. Despite this second chance of thesis and/or revision coaching if one still does not score 65%, admission to APEL is not possible. This process has to be completed latest by 5th July 2012 and admission taken by 12th July 2012.

Students intending to specialize in Finance must be ready for Business Development roles, analytics, Micro Finance, Banking Operations, Back office analysis, wealth management etc. profiles w.r.t. placements.

Those who wish to avail of placement facility after PGPEL and leave can do so. All these are to give students enough flexibility to choose according to their ability and interest so that they succeed. But one must work-hard to earn admission and placement.

Admission to APEL 2011-12 after PGPEL 2010-11

Admission criteria, eligibility, procedure, process, fee and number of chances in the entrance etc. are the same as above except dates and the year are substituted correspondingly to the year 2011-12.
