The Power of dedication and being righteous defines success and purpose... ?
Development of a nation depends upon the dedication of its people. Swami Vivekananda once said "Give me hundred dedicated people and I will change the face of this country". It is ironical that in a country of 332 million (when Swamiji made this agonising statement and 1.2 billion now), he could not find hundred dedicated men. Do our education, social and governance systems address this need?
The cities of Sodom and Gomorrah degenerated so much that most of the people were bestial and barbaric. There was no scope for good people to be there. The degeneration was all pervading that God decided to destroy both the cities. On this Abraham pleaded with the Lord "Suppose there are 50 righteous within the city; would You destroy the place or spare it for the fifty righteous that are in it?". The Lord said "Yes, if there are 50 righteous in the city, I will spare all the place for their sake". Abraham further pleaded "Suppose there are five less than fifty righteous?". Lord said "Yes, I will not destroy it". Abraham still begged "Suppose there are 20 righteous?" Lord said "I will not destroy it for the sake of those 20". Abraham persisted "Let not the Lord be angry - suppose 10 should be found there?" And Lord said "I will not destroy the cities for the sake of those 10". (Genesis 18;23-32)
The Message - Even if the majority consist of rascals, scoundrels and the utterly selfish, because of the presence of a tiny number of dedicated and righteous men amidst them, all of them get protected. That is, being good and righteous, every individual can serve a million. Even if you can't do great things in life, your being good itself is a great contribution to the world. Educational institutions should increase the number of such righteous people of action in the society.
SCMLD is inspired by these truths. We want to produce not hundreds but hundred and sixty such inspired youngsters every year. We want them to be wealthy, healthy and happy. We want them to create wealth, help create wealth and distribute that wealth in the form of quality products and services so that they touch the lives of masses positively and meaningfully, without sacrificing anything of theirs.
The deals which have lighted my way... have been kindness, beauty and truth... It is far more important to be a man of value than a man of success. To serve God is to serve the living.

Albert Einstein's words
No organisation, institution or business can fail if it is built on and its products & services are processed in and delivered on the above values. Customers will take care of the organisation.
"Education is not the amount of information that is put into your brain and runs rot there, and undigested all your life. We must have life - building, man-making, character-making assimilation of ideas. If you have assimilated five ideas and made them your life and character, you have more education than any man who has got by heart a whole library."
