Post Graduate Programme in Executive Leadership Batch commencing in June 2008

Dear Candidates,
Announcement of Admissions from waitlist

Interested candidates upto Rank No. 278 may confirm their admissions latest by 5 PM on 9th April 2008 by paying the first installment fee in full. No requests for delayed and partial payment can be accepted as we have to close all admissions including admissions against cancellations latest by 16th April 2008.

Admission
For admission confirmation, the candidate need to visit SCMLD campus in Pune along with at least one of the parents . To confirm admission, candidates on this list are to bring along the following without fail.

Originals and an attested copy each of 10th, 12th and Graduation / Post Graduation mark-sheets / certificates / degrees. Attested copies will be kept with SCMLD and originals returned immediately after verification. Any misrepresentation, wrong marks or discrepancies between testimonials and the details given in the SCMLD application form already filled by the candidate - admission will be denied to such candidates. Therefore other testimonials mentioned in the application form in original along with attested copies are also to be brought.
Two account payee bank drafts for the amount of Rs. 1,22,500 /- and for Rs. 25,000/- drawn in favour of Director, SCMLD, payable at Pune, drawn on any nationalized bank / HDFC / ICICI/ AXIS bank etc. Local students staying with parents in Pune need to pay only Rs. 87,500/- (i.e. two drafts of Rs. 62,500/- and for Rs. 25,000/-) if they are not availing the hostel and mess facilities. Admissions will close at 5.00 pm on 9th April 2008.

Bank Loan
HDFC bank has agreed to offer Educational loans to students pursuing SCMLD programmes. The procedure to be followed and conditions are as follows:

Maximum loan available for Rs. 7.5 lakh only
Collateral security of residential property or F.D. with HDFC bank is required.
Interest will be @ 13% per annum on monthly installments
Borrower can opt to repay the loan in 12, 24 or 36 Monthly installments after course duration and six months thereafter, are over. Till that time simple interest will be charged.
A co- applicant is a must for the security of loan. It could be Mother, Father, Brother, Sister, Spouse, Mother in law, Father in law, Brother in law, Paternal / Maternal uncle / Aunt and collateral security could belong to these co-applicants(s). He / she should satisfy basic income criteria depending upon the amount of loan sought.
Mark sheets viz. 10th, 12th and graduation - of the candidate (borrower) to be produced.
Income proof of co-applicant and address proof (permanent address) – Telephone bills, Electricity bills, Gas bills, Ration card, Passport, Voters ID card or Driving License to be provided.
Prescribed loan applications duly filled by the applicants and co- applicants with photographs are to be submitted along with a letter from SCMLD detailing the fee structure and a letter confirming the borrower’s admission.

Pending the loan sanction from the bank, interested candidates to visit SCMLD campus with parents and complete the admission process by paying the first installment of the fees to be paid, and signing the documents/ admissions letter. Once the bank releases the loan directly to the institute, the fee paid to SCMLD by the candidates shall be returned to the candidates/ parents by SCMLD.
Cancellation and refund rules are as per the prospectus.
Candidates to please understand that your shortlisting is by your own merit. Therefore, please do not fall prey to any one promising admissions/ claiming to have arranged your admission. SCMLD is borne out of the divine emotions of former students of Prof. Pillai and we do not allow any kind of malpractices.
The students seeking admissions has to sign a code of conduct, and a general undertaking for the safety, security and discipline accepting all our processes and methods of grooming. This has to be countersigned by atleast one parent. Therefore, both – student and one parent - have to come to SCMLD campus for taking admissions. After 31st March 2008, vacancy will go to the waiting list candidates.
SCMLD might offer a special ‘bridge’ programme from 20th April 2008 to 1st June 2008 to those students who will have taken admission but are not confident, poor in academics and weak in English, Mathematics etc., whether in the merit / wait list or not shortlisted during the GD process. Please apply on a plain paper for this programme. Final decision is not yet taken. Those who have submitted plain paper applications already need not apply again. The number will be at the sole discretion of SCMLD.
Please do not take admission with an intention to cancel. It blocks seats, denying opportunity to the interested
