If the right side aspects of our credo govern the core of a person - be a student, teacher, householder, professional or an entrepreneur - it is certain that the offerings- be it intangible or tangible products or services - shall be of very high quality and the receivers/ takers/customers shall be happy & delighted. Therefore this is not a philosophical monologue but a practical proposition. In short, if this emotional quotient is the foundation on which one operates, the motivation to tap one’s intellect, analytical & reasoning abilities, to seek scientific knowledge & skills and the ability to stretch one’s capacity to its limit, will be enormous because one is fired by a passion to give one’s best all the time unconditionally. Naturally, the outputs delivered shall be of world-class quality, standard and supreme value. This makes sound business sense. In fact, business objectives setting, processes and nurturing relationships, will all become integral parts of ’karmayoga’. And the outcome of ’karmayoga’ - the ’sadhana’ of positive actions - cannot be anything but excellence. This is the joyful and spiritual path to earning material prosperity. And this is the right way to wealth creation and its distribution. Also, this is the easiest way of doing hard work, stress and tension free. This is also the way to successfully fail if at all one fails and convert failures into success because a karmayogi cannot give up. Even for a worker, if this is the internal pivot, work will become worship and working days will become leisure days as he/she will continuously enjoy the work he/she is doing. This is the paradigm shift to leadership. In this, the most ordinary, produces the most extraordinary outcomes. Qualifications, scores, contracts, inducements, enticements & enforcements cannot bring out this extraordinariness as compared to a profoundly enlightened & ignited self motivation. Therefore the approach to management education at SCMLD is towards grooming leaders-self acting leaders of action and integrity. Hence, a lot of emphasis on mindset change. This has been immensely successful. The growth of my former students and the transformation taking place in the current students of SCMLD are irrefutable evidences of this. 1000 plus former students would not have come forward to set up / support SCMLD, if the processes did not ignite and empower them.
