Attendance

• • 100% attendance in all academic and co-curriculars, is essential.
  • 10% absence is allowed to meet exigencies beyond the control of oneself, without anyone’s sanction. That is for hospitalisation, serious problems at home etc.
  • If the attendance is below 90%, there are minus marks, fines and fees for
  re-exams. Attendance will be compiled week by week.
  • Damage to anyone’s property inside or outside the campus will attract fines, individual or collective, besides disciplinary action.
  • Absence from co-curricular activities will attract separate penalties including fines and doing double of the assignment / process / work / survey / activity.
  • A detailed code of conduct and undertaking have to be signed by every student, which gives advance notice to abstain from misconducts. It has to be countersigned by the parents, so that they remain informed of those.
  • We repose a lot of trust and faith in students and hence will be extremely happy and privileged if we are spared of taking unpleasant actions, by your being self disciplined and of good character & behaviour.

Dress Code On formal occasions:

• For gentlemen: Blue blazer, grey trousers, white shirt, tie and polished black shoes.
• For girls: Uniform saree and blouse or uniform salwar kameez
• On regular days for gentlemen: Formals without blazer and tie. White shirt and grey pants essential. Daily shave is must. Sport well polished shoe and neat hair cut always.
• For girls: Saree or uniform salwar kameez of the specifications mentioned above.
• For yoga, workout, pranayama, outward bound: Track pants and T-shirts / track suits.
  

Accommodation Rules

• Attendance is taken at 9.30 pm every night. Inmates must present themselves for attendance without any excuses. 
  • Only one night out is permitted per month, that too on the written request from parents.
  • Girls shall not visit boys’ accommodation or boys to girls’ accommodation under any circumstance.
  • Landlords’ complaints will also be taken cognizance of in cases of students staying outside on their own.

Termination of a studentship will be effected in the following cases:

• Stealing or indulging in malpractice in exams / tests.
• Sexual misconduct inside or outside the campus.
• Intoxication / found inside the campus/hostels after consumption of liquor and/or drugs or found in possession of liquor, drugs, cigarettes etc. inside the campus / hostel.
• Wilful damage to institute property.
• Violence against anyone.
• Does not clear the exams according to CGPA and exam rules.
• If a student continues to indulge in misconducts even after two cautions / warnings.
  

No Capitation
At SCMLD there shall be no capitation. Please do not fall prey to any self styled middlemen or agents. No such person is entertained at SCMLD. We deal only with genuine / honest people.
