Mission

 

Together, we win. Alone, it is difficult. The journey may be slow but surely we are moving closer to our goal. It is important that everyone help everyone. We need the support of so many and many beings for our selves to sustain and grow. Continuation of the journey, accepting the realities as they are, with discipline, determination, dedication, trust, faith, confidence and respecting the unique strengths / talents of individuals synergised towards a greater purpose in a spirit of collaboration, ensure success - collective and individual. This is equally true for a business enterprise. It is not possible to manage by memorising knowledge prescribed by somebody. Using the knowledge / wisdom of the earlier generations, the present generation should discover its own potential & the new realities and work symbiotically to succeed.

Hence SCMLD’s approach of learning by doing, exploration, experimentation and experiential realisation - working in teams and trusting each other and being trustworthy. Team skills gets good score in ECGPA.

Mission..

To identify young people with professional and entrepreneurial aspirations, talents & determination and trigger them off to become ethics & values driven business leaders, by enlightening & enabling them to have right perspectives and grooming them with knowledge, insights, skills, healthy habits and envisioning & intuitive abilities so that they act original with clear vision, conviction & confidence, being competent and thus be an inspiration to others, besides charting their own success.

To infuse in them action orientation and the core values of hard-work, self discipline, sense of purpose, commitment, responsibility & accountability, thoroughness, partnership, camaraderie, co-operative striving, social & environmental concern and a spirit of community service, so that they, through enlightened ways & means, spread prosperity, peace, harmony and happiness around.... and thus, create a cadre of inspiring, competent and powerful role models of action & change who, in turn, will empower and embolden others by being examples.

Thus build SCMLD as a unique centre of excellence in value-oriented, socially, nationally, globally & environmentally appropriate management education, empowerment & leadership development, by synthesising ancient Indian wisdom and modern techniques & technologies, setting own standards of quality and that way participate in nation building, in its own humble way and showing new ways.

Placement is not an end. It’s a means to achieve life’s purpose. Jargons, laptops, powerpoint presentations or fear, anxiety , impatience and desperation to win by shortcuts , will not lead to lasting success, fulfillment, happiness and peace & harmony within. One has to work hard with patience and persistence. Ratan Tata, Azim Premji, Narayana Murthy et al have not emerged successful overnight. They worked hard and are still working hard with determination. If one looks at Dr. Abdul Kalam, Lata Mangeshkar, Sachin Tendulkar, Sania Mirza, Aishwarya Rai, Dr. Manmohan Singh, Sam Pitroda or Sridharan of the Metro Railway, to name a few contemporaries, one can find that the position, honour, success and their stature, came chasing them. They didn’t fake their bio-data going to a consultant or a placement agency asking for tips and tricks to succeed . They worked hard with dedication and diligence. The nature played its own role and they th eirs . Opportunities came seeking them rather than they hunting for it. They concentrated in excelling in what ever they did. They will never face a situation of unemployment. Conversely , they can dictate their terms to whoever seeks them. Luck comes with dedicated work.
