• Every student will get three GD / Interview chances and one grace chance for final placement. Additional opportunity will be given once all students get 3-4 chances. This is to avoid students misusing opportunities by being casual and wanting to experiment in selection process with the intention of not accepting the offer / joining the company. At SCMLD we do not encourage faking anywhere and at any time. If any student fails to clear GDs or interviews even after facing four companies in GD or interview or both, he / she will be taken out of the campus placement process till all others get as many number of chances as he / she got. This is to make the students do their homework seriously before facing interview or select only those companies which they are sure of making it. This forces students to be clear and better prepared.
• If a student attends a selection process and the company offers appointment, the student has 24 hrs time to accept or reject the offer. If accepted he/she is taken out of the campus placement process. If student do not accept the offer, it will be considered as a chance lost for the purpose stated in the paragraph above.
• We insist that the company issue offer letters addressed to the institute. Acceptance by students also has to go through the placement cell of the institute, to the company. This will help to monitor the process properly.
• Offer and acceptance are to be in writing to avoid confusion and lack of finality.
• If a company wants to examine all students/most of them, the company should do the PPT sufficiently in advance. However the already placed students will not be allowed to sit for any further processes. But attendance of all (100%) students is a must in PPT as there is lot to learn from every company’s presentation.
• If a student has accepted an offer but did not join the company but another one and if the former company informs us, we shall withhold his/her diploma and also take up the matter with the latter company informing it of the breach of commitment of the student.
• Once joined, retention/leaving is a matter between the company and the student. Not of the institute. We are sure that 90% of SCMLDians will not leave without fulfilling their commitments to the company.
• Those with negative scores for non-submission of assignments, malpractices in the exams / tests / dishonesty in assignments / surveys / lack of attendance etc. are not allowed to sit for placement until they earn the required positive scores. |
